January 2011
Dear Friends of Squeaky Clean:
Thanks to all of you for helping to make 2011 a successful year for us. Our overall bookings were up more that 7% over 2010, a modest but welcome turnaround. With your support, we’ve managed to survive the recent economic challenges. Here’s to a slam-dunk 2012 for all of us!
It seems like we are up to our ears in new projects. In the middle of an extremely busy “Mistletunes” run in December, we also put together a program of Frank Sinatra songs for our adult clients. The songs were wonderful, of course, but not the type of material we are accustomed to performing. Mr. Sinatra hated rock and roll!
This year, demand for our ‘Reading ROCKS! PARP Program” has increased significantly. We are putting a lot of thought into enhancing our presentation by incorporating book trivia questions in a game show format, inbetween our songs. It looks so easy on TV, but there are a so many logistical issues to work out!
And February 17 will be the debut of our new program BIG 80s at Fair Lawn Middle School in New Jersey. We’ve put nearly two years of planning into this show and we’re getting to the final (frantic) phase. It’s going to feature lots of great 80s tunes, video clips and a look at how technology changed our lives. We think the show will prove to be very popular with today parents, who were teenagers back then.
So 2012 will NOT be a year or resting on our laurels. As Ludwig Wittgenstein said: Resting on your laurels is as dangerous as resting when you are walking in the snow. You doze off and die in your sleep.
Unless you’re a bear, of course.
Suzanne and Glenn
