SQUEAKY CLEAN has performed at many weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, anniversary parties and corporate events over the years. Most of our work comes through referrals from prior clients who appreciate the care we bring to each event.
Many people hire a band from an agency to perform at their party. These agencies offer DJs, society orchestras and bands, which suit the needs of people who are planning a traditional event.
Our band is different in many respects:
-- We specialize the music from the 1950s 1960s and 1970s. We do not play contemporary music, though we have no objection to sharing the party with a DJ. We do not play ethnic music, with the exception of a hora medley for Jewish events. -- We can offer our services for significantly less than an agency band, with NO COMPROMISE in musical quality. Not every party has an extravagant budget: we will do our best to work within your budget.
-- We are owner-operators. You will be dealing with the actual musicians who will perform at your event. Barring illness, Suzanne and Glenn perform at every show and the two drummers we work with have have extensive party experience of their own.
-- We are a three-piece band, but it no way does this compromise our sound. Suzanne and Glenn are both gifted lead singers, and we skillfully utilize the vocal talents of our drummers to create a rich vocal sound. A computer sequencer allows us to fill in keyboard, horn and string parts in a unobtrusive manner.
-- We do only a limited number of parties each year. This means that we are able to give more individual attention to the specifics of your event, unlike bands who may do four or five parties during a busy weekend. We are experienced, but not jaded.
Our approach is not appropriate for every party, and we would urge you to gather information about other bands so that you can put our services and costs into context. But if you love classic rock and roll and want a fresh, high-energy band for your party, SQUEAKY CLEAN could be perfect for your party.
