“PULL TOGETHER” Songs of Unity, Healing and Cooperation For America to function in the 21st Century, people of varying backgrounds must be comfortable learning together, working together and playing together. Society needs the creativity and unique point-of-view of every American, regardless of race, creed, or national origin. After seeing our show, we hope the audience will have a new appreciation for diversity and will be inspired to dream about what can be accomplish when we all “pull together”
Act One: The American Dream Today’s immigrants follow in the footsteps of earlier newcomers to America (Love Train, People Got To Be Free, Only In America, The Kids from Queens)
Act Two: Into the Mainstream Some groups had to struggle for equality and acceptance (Black and White, Tutti Fruitti)
Act Three: Working Together Each individual can make an effective contribution to society. When individuals cooperate, they can help address serious social concerns (Waiting on the World to Change, This Marvelous Relationship, Put A Little Love In Your Heart)
Act Four: Visionaries At crucial times in history, imaginative leaders have shared their vision of a more peaceful world (Imagine, Everyday People, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough)
